My interest in ceramics and photography is often overlapping. Objects of interest to me sometimes come from random fallen leaves or layering of mountain range upon mountain range. A blending of glaze over textured clay gives controlled random color. A clay surface becomes a focus for flat abstract photograph. Leaf or flower structure becomes inspiration for ceramic texture.
Finding the art is my goal.

New texture vessels
Latest batch of my home gray clay with 50% cone 10 porcelain clay this weekend.

That's some great texture ya' got there. Will it fire to ^10?
ReplyDeleteyes after drying for several weeks, by next week. I will glase the inside and let the clay "speak" on the outside.
