Cups are brushed and fingered with white slip and clear glaze on the inside and lip. Outside is stained with oxides over the slip.
My interest in ceramics and photography is often overlapping. Objects of interest to me sometimes come from random fallen leaves or layering of mountain range upon mountain range. A blending of glaze over textured clay gives controlled random color. A clay surface becomes a focus for flat abstract photograph. Leaf or flower structure becomes inspiration for ceramic texture. Finding the art is my goal.

Some new ceramics pieces
Still continuing with some texture plates and small cups. Plates are combination of white and black slip and green mason stains and added native clays.

A few photo posts today
This week has been an interesting early morning walk time, cell phone picture.
And a few of my abstracts, first of a red maple along the walk to the office and the second a fuzzy weed outside the pottery studio.
