I have earlier photo of this before but this is a little better capture of the old man. He lives in this natural rock formation. It was rainy and wet yesterday, he shows better in the weather.
My interest in ceramics and photography is often overlapping. Objects of interest to me sometimes come from random fallen leaves or layering of mountain range upon mountain range. A blending of glaze over textured clay gives controlled random color. A clay surface becomes a focus for flat abstract photograph. Leaf or flower structure becomes inspiration for ceramic texture. Finding the art is my goal.

Wall clay Art
More of my local clay sun dried expressions. No color added just native NC dirt! First two, at left I used a mud dauber nest (upside down) and clays and second at right inspired by tsunami. Working together or as separates.
